Historic Night: Como Beats Udinese 4-1
Como 1907 secured their fifth win of the season on the 21st matchday of Serie A Enilive, defeating Udinese 4-1.
Spanish winger and new signing Assane Diao opened the scoring in the fifth minute, netting his second consecutive goal at the Sinigaglia Stadium, assisted by Gabriel Strefezza. The Brazilian doubled the lead in the 44th minute with a volley inside the penalty area, allowing the Lariani to head into halftime with a 2-0 advantage.
In the second half, after Udinese pulled one back, Como restored their two-goal lead thanks to an own goal from Udinese’s Bijol, following a cross from Gambian Alieu Fadera. The final blow came in the 90th minute when Argentine playmaker Nico Paz scored the fourth goal, assisted by German Yannik Engelhardt.
The match also marked an important milestone for Alessio Iovine, who made his 150th appearance for Como, entering the club’s all-time top 25 list.
